Performances in the Park: Winnipeg Steel Orchestra

The Winnipeg Steel Orchestra first appeared in 1972 as a small ensemble of steel drum or ‘pan’ players. A non-profit organization, The Winnipeg Steel Orchestra promotes the appreciation and preservation of Caribbean steel band music. While it has grown over the years in size, stature, variety of instrumentation, and musical repertoire, we’re excited to announce that on Wednesday, July 13, 2022, in partnership with Folklorama, a Steel Pan Duo from The Winnipeg Steel Orchestra will perform a FREE show from 12:00 P.M. to 12:45 P.M. in Central Park (367 Ellice Ave.)!
