Saturdays on Sargent: Street Activation

We are thrilled to introduce Saturdays on Sargent, our latest street activation project.

With the support of our sponsors, Councillor Cindy Gilroy, the City of Winnipeg, the Province of Manitoba , RBC Royal Bank, as well as our members along Sargent Avenue, we worked to elevate your pedestrian experience on Sargent Avenue, Balmoral to Banning.

Saturdays on Sargent invites all Winnipeggers to eat, drink and shop on Sargent Avenue to make the West End a fun place to explore in the warmer months.

PARK – BIKE VALET

A bustling and walkable neighbourhood hub, Sargent Avenue is one of the five main commercial corridors in the West End and the one of the busiest avenues after Portage and Notre Dame. With sidewalk fronting storefronts and a diverse and culturally enriching selection of small businesses it’s a must-visit part of Winnipeg.

The West End gets its charm from its dynamic business scene made up of quaint shops, restaurants and eateries.  These can be easily missed when you’re driving but so fun to discover when you’re simply out walking or biking in the neighbourhood.

To encourage residents, visitors, and shoppers to get out and explore Sargent by foot or bike, we’re hosting a weekly bike valet and we’ve got a fantastic line-up of local talent from Curbside Concerts to perform along the street all summer long.

• What: Free and monitored bike valet
• Where: Maryland on Sargent at 588 Sargent Avenue
• When: 2 to 6 PM, every Saturday until September 23rd, 2023
